Meet the S-18-35.

  • This incredibly soft, yet supportive, temperature-neutral foam has a completely unique feel that is similar to memory foam but offers enhanced support through its proprietary closed-cell technology. A great option for pressure relief and those looking for a combination of softness and support.

  • The firmer version of Comfort Option’s Responsive foam types, placing this material in the second layer of a construction provides great support while maintaining pressure-relieving benefits. Additionally, motion transfer is extremely limited from one side of the mattress to the other.

  • Using a material that’s 75% denser than your typical foam mattress core, our 2.8 lbs/ft3 foam core is built to last. IFD is the measurement of firmness. Compared to our 45 IFD options, the 35 IFD provides a medium-soft feel, which gives added pressure relief. It also utilizes a unique CNC cut, I-Beam profile to add pressure relief and additional airflow, ensuring long-lasting, cooling comfort.

Density Means Durability.

Ever seen a foam mattress with a big, body-shaped indent in it? That’s almost all because of the use of low density foams. But it’s not just the top layers of the mattress that need high density foam.

Oftentimes, mattress manufacturers will use quality, high-density foam in the top layer or two of a mattress (the parts you feel), then opt to use low-density, cheap foam in the base layer of the bed in order to cut costs. As a result, a cheap, low-density base is almost always to blame for body impressions, not the top layers. The foam simply isn’t made to last and will collapse with very little use.

1.5-1.8 lbs/ft³
(Most Foam Mattress Cores)

Nearly all bed-in-box mattresses found online use foam with a core density in this range, and most of those are closer to the low end of the range. They may feel the same as higher density foams because density does not equal firmness. They won’t always feel the same, though.

Over time, these foams will lose 35% of their firmness and 5% of their height.

In other words, they create body impressions and get softer faster than higher density foams. But they’re far less expensive, which makes them very attractive to other mattress retailers, who hardly ever even tell you the density of the foam they use.

2.8 lbs/ft³
(Comfort Option Foam Core)

Comfort Option uses foam with a 2.8 density, a level quality that is unmatched by our competition. This foam is nearly twice as dense, and in our internal tests, performs nearly 5x better than 1.5 density foams in terms of height loss.

Over time, our foam only loses less than 20% of its firmness and less than 3% of its height.

We’re transparent with the foam we use and call our products “Honestly Crafted” for that reason. We use the most quality foams in the industry and therefore are excited to offer as much information about our specifications as we can.

What is KülKōte?

An advanced phase change material that regulates your temperature as you sleep. Available on all Comfort Option® mattresses.

KülKōte is a Phase Change Material.

KülKōte is a water-based, polymer coating that uses micro-capsules that continually changes phases from liquid to solid in order to effectively manage heat energy. We spray it right onto the surface of the foam on the top layer of our mattresses, along with the surface of our SoftFlo® pillows.

My wife and I went into their store and was helped by one of the nicest associates I’ve ever dealt with. We were able to try a custom mattress for as long as we needed without a person standing there trying to sell us on it after 2-3 minutes. Extremely comfortable mattress, so far we’ve bought 2, one for us and one for our guest room. Overall just a great experience. I’d recommend to anyone searching for a new mattress that isn’t overpriced or marked up like all the other stores we’ve been to.
